Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use ACGC online services.

Effective date: 18 September 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Africa Centre for Global Christianity (ACGC) website, accounts, courses, resources, events, newsletters, and related services. By using the services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

3. Learning, registration, and events

Course and event information is provided for general educational and community purposes. A registration or application does not guarantee admission, enrolment, certification, attendance, or availability. ACGC may change, postpone, or withdraw offerings where reasonably necessary.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the services, interfere with their operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access, upload malicious material, impersonate another person, or use the services in a way that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes another person's rights.

5. Content and intellectual property

The ACGC name, branding, website content, learning materials, and resources are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use them for your personal, non-commercial learning unless ACGC gives written permission for another use. Do not reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from protected content without permission.

6. Third-party services

The services may link to or rely on third-party platforms, including authentication, video, social-media, and payment providers. Their terms and privacy notices apply to your use of those services. ACGC is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The services are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent allowed by law, ACGC does not guarantee that the services will always be uninterrupted, secure, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

8. Suspension and termination

ACGC may suspend or end access where there is a breach of these terms, a security risk, legal requirement, or operational need. You may stop using the services at any time.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be published here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
